Each year, over 3 million people experience homelessness, including 1.3 million children. The face of homelessness is diverse. It includes mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, and racial and ethnic minorities. One-third of the homeless population is made up of families.

NLCHP is the only national legal advocacy organization dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness. Through impact litigation, policy advocacy, and public education we address the root causes of homelessness at the local, state, and national levels.
