Testimony of Maria Foscarinis, Before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, one of two bodies in the inter-American system for promoting and protecting human rights, held a hearing to evaluate compliance with the basic human right to housing by the largest nations of the Western hemisphere.

NLCHP, residents of public housing, and other advocates requested the hearing before the international body. Maria Foscarinis, Executive Director of NLCHP, presented testimony on behalf of the millions of U.S. citizens without adequate shelter.
