Gail Sacco, et al. v. the City of Las Vegas

NLCHP, the National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council, the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth, and other organizations filed an amicus brief in support of a preliminary injunction against the City of Las Vegas ordinance prohibiting sharing food with someone who appears indigent.

NLCHP contends that the ordinance violates several provisions of the U.S. Constitution including the rights of indigent individuals to the equal protection of laws, as well as their right to associate with donors who offer religious or political messages along with the gift of food.
