Reauthorize and Amend the HUD McKinney-Vento Programs

NLCHP reccomends that Congress should exercise its oversight responsibilities and reauthorize the programs, with amendments to reflect the current realities of homeless assistance in States and local communities. Reauthorization of the Title IV programs would provide authority for the programs, as well as clarity and greater predictability for States, local governments and private nonprofits providing homeless housing and services.
