Opposing the Destruction of Homeless Persons' Property

Affidavit by Tulin Ozdeger

In November 2006, NLCHP Civil Rights Staff Attorney Tulin Ozdeger submitted an affidavit in a Fresno, California class action lawsuit challenging the destruction of homeless persons' personal property by City official during "sweeps" of homeless encampments.

The testimony outlines best practices other cities have implemented for preserving the private property of homeless persons.
