Comments on Income Determination Requirements

On March 13, 2009, NLCHP submitted comments to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regarding its proposed delay in effectuating the final rule on Refinement of Income and Rent Determination Requirements in Public and Assisted Housing Programs at Docket No. FR-4998-F-02.

NLCHP supported the delay, stating that the rule as written would have the capability to negatively impact many homeless individuals and immigrant survivors of abuse who seek shelter in public and assisted housing.
