A HEARTH Act Overview
The May 2009 passage of the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act was a major victory for NLCHP and other advocates. Among other things, the HEARTH Act requires the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness to create a federal plan to end homelessness. This document provides an overview of this important piece of legislation.
